Entering NFL as an undrafted free agent, Jason McKie is a prime example of what hard work and determination is all about. Jason became the Bears full-time starting fullback in 2006, responding with career highs in receptions and receiving yards. The Bears rewarded McKie with a 5-year contract extension in November of 2006.
The resourceful back has in six NFL seasons. He has played in Philadelphia and Dallas before coming to Chicago in 2003.
A Temple alum, Jason started 26 games at fullback during his four seasons for the Owls where he also was a two-time team captain, compiling over 1,200 yards of offense and 15 touchdowns. Jason graduated with a degree in communications.
McKie has been very active in the community throughout his NFL career. Recently, Jason launched the Jason McKie Foundation of the Institute for Science and Health which focuses on programs in the areas of education and wellness with an emphasis on making an impact in the lives of families of soldiers.
